Three things that happened in the story: 1. Ahmed has a rough journey to Brussels on a dinghy boat. Ahmed is only 14 years old and has so much to deal with.He is fleeing Syria, and is scared. 2. Max has moved from America to Brussels and hates it. He lives with his parents and sister, Claire. Everyone speaks French and he is frustrated. He is not a great student and hates going to school even more now.He is a thirteen year old boy which is already an uncomfortable age. 3. Ahmed takes off from the Red Cross Camp and in his journey, finds a house that a family lives in. He hides in their basement for a month, before continuing on his journey.
